SUPPORT ART – SUPPORT ARTISTS
Artist Nigel John Cullen showcases a collection of his new paintings in his debut solo exhibition at The Ireland Institute in July.
Cullen is a versatile artist, using multiple media including watercolour, oil and acrylic. This versatility is echoed in his subject matter, drawing on the countryside around him, as well as historical and maritime themes amongst others. His works are full of dramatic strength, drawing the viewer to the canvas and revealing the narrative within.
A Wicklow native, Nigel has been painting since early childhood with the encouragement of his Father. He is predominantly influenced by nature and all his works depict an aspect of the natural environment.
The Ireland Institute is an historical and cultural centre located in what was the family home of Patrick and Willie Pearse.
Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing measures will apply, with limited numbers admitted at any one time.
