Ivana Bacik is Reid Professor of Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology at Trinity College, Dublin. She is a practising barrister in Dublin and previously taught in England and at the National College of Ireland. She is editor of the Irish Criminal Law Journal and has written on human rights law, criminal law and criminology.
Paul Delaney is a lecturer in English at Trinity College, Dublin. He has recently edited Daniel Corkery's The Stones and other stories for Mercier Press. He is currently working on a history of representations of the Travellers in Irish literature.
Gerard Delanty is Professor of Sociology in the University of Liverpool. He is the chief editor of the European Journal of Social Theory and author of nine books, including Inventing Europe: Idea, Identity and Reality (Macmillan 1995), Modernity and Postmodernity: Knowledge, Power and the Self (Sage 2000) and Community (Routledge 2003), as well as numerous papers.
D. R. O'Connor Lysaght is a historian whose The Story of the Limerick Soviet has just been published in a new edition. He is now working on a study of the post-1916 troubles in Cork and Tipperary.
Philip Pettit taught at U.C.D. in the late 1960s and early 1970s, before moving to England, Australia and recently the USA. He teaches philosophy and political theory at Princeton University, where he is William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Politics. He is the author, among other books, of Republicanism: A Theory of Freedom and Government (OUP 1967).
Mary Shine Thompson is research co-ordinator of St Patrick's College, Dublin City University. She is currently writing a study of the textualisation of Irish childhood in the twentieth century
Alan Titley is the author of novels, plays, stories and literary scholarship. He is head of the Irish Department at St. Patrick's College, Dublin City University.
Brian Trench is a senior lecturer and Head of School in the School of Communications, Dublin City University. He has special research and teaching interests in science communication and online journalism.
Patrick Zuk is a composer and pianist. He lectures at the Cork School of Music.
